Our festive lights would not be possible without support from the local community. We thank everybody for their donations and hard work this year in fundraising for our tree lights:

The Suzy Oakes Trust for £400 towards the lights and £100 for a commemorative sign at the Petersfield tree.

To our local Co-op store for £500 towards the lights.

Paul and Robert

To Paul Saunders and Robert Lummis – two indefatigable local residents who spent many weekends shaking their collection buckets on Mill Road bridge. They raised over £800 all together.

To all of the local businesses and people who donated tombola prizes which raise £133 at the Switch On event and £188 at the fundraiser event in October.

The Hive on Gwydir Street who put in £50 this year.

We were able to use a profit of £600 generated through Mill Road Feast events towards the festive lights.

With thanks to everybody who made our festive lights possible in 2013:

Avis Budget Group sponsored our Switch On event brochure with their advert and a contribution of £500.

Our local Co-operative Food store sponsored an amazing £1000 towards our costs this year.

Cambridge City Council granted £5000 to support new tree lights in Romsey

We are grateful to Cambridge Bed Centre who have provided us with the venue for celebrating our Switch On event.

In addition to the funding we have received from the Council, the Co-operative and Avis, we are infinitely grateful to the Mill Road business community – often much smaller and independently owned – who have still contributed towards our costs. The following businesses receive our thanks:

Baguette Express, Computer Repairs, Al Amin, The Sea Tree, Safe Box Ltd, Limoncello, Elitian Ltd, O’Sullivans Shopfitting, Cambridge Econometrics, H Gee’s Ltd, Frameworks, Halls of Cambridge, Bush Property Sales and Lettings, Saint Andrews Bureau, Wardrobe, Tattooing by Fabio, Arjuna, Cutlacks, Lally’s, Curry Queen, Martin & Co, The Bike Shed
