A pop-up cinema event (Casablanca!) in August raised a small amount of money toward the Festive Lights.
Thanks to Susie Hinchliffe – landlady of the Earl of Beaconsfield pub – who raised £205 through a series of fundraiser quizzes and also donated £500, making the tree at Great Eastern Street a reality. Thanks also to the Light Cinema Cambridge who donated cinema tickets as prizes for the winning quiz teams.
Thanks to Eileen O’Brien, landlady of The Six Bells Pub who raised £621 at her fundraiser music and BBQ event on the 27th June. Food was donated by Mill Road Butchers and Hilary’s Greengrocers
Thanks to Claire at Breckland Orchard from Mill Road’s local WI group who raised £30 through organising a raffle.
Thanks too to Raj Brahmbhatt from Raj’s on Mill Road who donated £100.
Thanks to Angie at Relevant Records who raised £250 at their live music fundraiser on 18th July.
